Pacific Seed Bank Review

Pacific Seed Bank Information

Pacific Seed Bank is a US-based seed bank with a clean modern site that is easy to navigate and stocks a wide variety of cannabis seeds. They aim to be “your one-stop-weed-seed-shop” and the team has spent many years working together to curate a seed selection containing only the most sought-after strains.

The Pacific Seed Bank team has a background in horticulture and medicine stretching back 20 years. They have used this combined knowledge to write handy guides and blogs, useful for both beginners and experts alike.

Seed Range

When it comes to variety, Pacific Seed Bank offers a solid selection. They stock feminized, autoflowering and high CBD cannabis seeds. If you are looking for regulars for breeding purposes this isn’t the seed bank for you as they stock no regular beans.

Each variety has its own section on site and you can find your favorite strain with the help of a user-friendly “search” function. If you have a specific request, the seeds can be sorted according to their THC levels, grow difficulty, height and type (hybrid, Indica, Sativa). If you are looking to purchase for medical use, you can also filter the strains by condition.

Pacific Seed Bank does not offer a range of their own seeds, but they sell seeds from a small selection of breeders.

These are not the biggest name breeders you find at some online seed banks but they include:

  • CBD Depot
  • Original Kush Seeds
  • Norcal Farms
  • Dutchman Seeds
  • Growers Lab Seeds

If you’re looking for a specific classic cannabis strain, they probably sell it. Pacific Seed Bank currently stocks over 300 feminized, 170 autoflowering and 40 CBD cannabis strains.

Some of their most popular seeds include:

  • Purple Kush
  • Skywalker OG
  • Amnesia Lemon
  • Blue Cheese
  • Jack Herer
  • Platinum Kush
  • NYC Diesel
  • Yumboldt
  • Tangie
  • ACDC CBD
  • Harlequin CBD

Pacific Seed Bank Payment Options

Pacific Seed Bank accepts payment by mail, Zelle (the US only), Interac e-Transfer (Canada only), credit card and Bitcoin (BTC).

If you want to pay by mail, Pacific Seed Bank doesn’t accept cash or personal checks. They only accept cashiers or certified checks. However, if you do pay this way, they will throw in some bonus-free seeds as a little sweetener. Please note they will not ship your order until your payment has been received and confirmed by their office.

If you choose to pay by credit card there is a transaction fee of 8.5% on top of the cost of your seeds and shipping. This is because like many in the industry they have to pay high fees for a payment gateway that works with credit and debit cards.

Pacific Seed Bank Shipping

The company policy is to send the seeds in air-tight containers (normally a medical-grade glass vial). Pacific Seed Bank promise to ensure absolute discretion and the package will be padded to protect your seeds whilst in transit.

Please be aware that for stealth purposes they sometimes remove the seeds from their original packaging depending on where you live. It is worth dropping them an email in advance if you want to receive breeders’ packs just to check if it is possible.

At their own cost, they will also offer additional stealth shipping if you require extra discretion.

Pacific Seed Bank ships worldwide and they have shipping costs that reflect this. US residents pay a flat rate of $9.95 for tracked shipping and your package is expected to arrive in 5 to 7 days. Australian residents pay $30 for tracked shipping and you should expect to receive your order in roughly 7 to 25 days. Customers who live in Europe or other countries also pay a $30 shipping fee and again should expect your package to arrive in 7 to 25 days.

The return policy states that if you’re unsatisfied with your purchase, you can contact Pacific Seed Bank within 7 days from the delivery date to get a refund (excluding shipping costs). However, you must contact them to confirm the return before sending your package back.

Germination Guarantee

Pacific Seed Bank offers a 90% germination guarantee. If more than 10% of your seeds fail to germinate, you can contact Pacific and they will replace them for you. There are a couple of caveats to this:

  • Single failed seeds do not receive this guarantee.
  • Seeds must be germinated within 60 days of purchase to be eligible.
  • You should follow the Pacific Seed Bank germination method.
  • You are responsible for the shipping costs of failed seeds.

Freebies and Discount Coupons

Pacific Seed Bank does not offer free seeds with your order as standard. You will only get free seeds if you go with their promoted payment method of “pay in the mail”. If you pay using a cashier’s or certified check via mail they will send you a bonus 3 seed pack with your order.

To get the best price on your next order, we host a wide range of Pacific Seed Bank coupon codes and discounts on this page. These include free seed offers and exclusive coupon codes.

Pacific Seed Bank Reviews

Pacific Seed Bank like other retailers of its kind has a mix of good and bad reviews. Whilst some customers seem happy with their purchase, others are left with some questions and doubts as to the overall quality of seeds on offer.

My yield from the Cinex came in at around 2 pounds. The smoke is getting rave reviews from friends and family. I enjoy the smoke as well, but if I we’re going to purchase more seeds I would go elsewhere.”

Fun Cat Lady 2017, an active member on Roll It Up, posted that even though her Cinex plants had a good yield and gets good reviews from friends and family, she has doubts about the ancestry of the seeds.

She later returned to say:

“Well shit! I may have to go back and get more of the “Cinex”. It is great stuff, whether or not it is Cinex. My friends want more and it was and is wonderful stuff.

I will let you know. Pacific seems a bit shady but I might risk it again. Lol”

“All seeds did NOT come in any breeder packaging at all. The seeds were, literally, in tiny clear plastic bags left to rattle around the inside of the large DVD/CD case they were shipped in (20 years ago called, they want their shipping method back!). The tiny bags were cheaply labelled with the supposed strain.”

One Reddit user, u/canIgorwthis, complains about receiving the seeds in a CD/DVD case which let’s face it is a pretty outdated shipping method. When was the last time any of us bought a DVD, we are all watching Netflix now!

However, Pacific Seed Bank informs its customers that they might take the seeds out of the breeder packaging for discreet shipping so whilst this should possibly have been expected the stealth method isn’t the best.

“I grew out Amnesia Lemon, Skywalker OG, Pineapple Chunk, Lambsbread, UK Cheese from them. all of them were as advertised, wasn’t a fan of their Cheese but the rest were quality.”

Finally, mindriot, another active member of Roll It up was happy with their strain selection.
